I finally had breakfast at R'Reileigh's Daybreak Cafe here in Lillian, AL. I had the Corn Beef Hash Omelet with home fries and a hand made biscuit.
I've been dying to try these folks out and finally found them this morning up on Hwy 98. As I was settling into my table a nice guy and his wife entered the place and he approached with his hand out. He asked how I was doing after the spill off my trike and I made a match to him and his official Fire Department vehicle parked out front.
Of course I ended up buying him and his wife breakfast, something they didn't discover until after I left. You never know when you're going to fall off a tricycle next!
Lillian has been good to me. Dan kept teasing me that maybe I'd get laid once I moved in. I am making a very good friend here, who during probably most of her adult life was a hell of a good fuck. But at her age of seventy, and me almost eighty, it's just not on the table for either of us.
Which is fine! New friends without sex complicating it is great. I also get to hear all of the trailer park gossip this way!
I honestly don't know what's going to happen to me here. But the ocean is in walking or riding distance, and for a man who has spent the last two decades in Idaho and Tennessee, this means the world to me.
